Vernon grew up in a real estate family... His late father, Daniel "Russ" Foster, Jr. founded Foster Realty Company In September of 1941...was a charter member of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission and a well respected real estate practitioner in North Carolina. His mother, Mary Iris, worked along side of his father. Like father like son... Vernon's wife Angie oversees the Property Management offices with her husband, Vernon, the Broker-In-Charge. Today, Foster Realty Company continues its tradition of being a family business who's dealings are guided by strong family values and a tradition of integrity.
Vernon enjoys photography and is considered by many your consummate professional. Vernon worked as an apprentice under Pat and Dave Woody (both nationally known Masters of Photography) in the mid-70's. That apprenticeship was served in Bristol, Virginia.
Vernon has followed his youngest son from Cub Scout Tiger into the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoys the leadership opportunities afforded him in Scouting. As he puts it, "...a real opportunity to make a difference in the life of young boys".
